VSA/TCS Lights are ON SOLID!!! Need some help..

Hey guys.

Well thanks for all the info when my car was reving like a B16 that needs warm up haha. but i cleaned out the IAC Valve and that curied that problem. but now i have a problem with the VSC/TCS now. for some odd reason when i did the IACV it started up right away. but then i hear this click from inside the engine compartment. then VSC and the TCS light goes on solid. ive been driving around for about 2 days hoping the light would reset itself. but i noticed every time i turn the car to the on position it lights up then when it suppose to turn off i hear something click in the engine compartment like a replay or something its like a when drop a small plastic ball in a plastic tube. it has that hollow clicking noise. then the lights go on solid.

The car drives perfect. there is no hesitation. well with the exception that my Iridiums are pretty much going to kick the bucket soon i think. but yeah anyone had this problem with the VSC before?? im not sure if i should just eat it and take it to Acura to diagnoise.

I did buy a OBDII scanner for all the codes and its not showing anything. so im not sure why the VSC lights are on. I DONT have the ABS on so i know its not that. I did a search and nothing seems to be issuing the same symptoms. I did put the stock intake box in and took out the AEM.

So any info would be great. i hope its not the VSC actuator that stupid thing is like $1g. i dont think i can shell out 1g right now. but any info would be great. i just need to fix this and my car is back to normal.

HELP!!!

did you disconnect the vsa TB when doing this cleaning? Id go back and double check that every thing you disconnected is reconnected

Ill try and check all thoughs sensors. man this thing is a pain in my ass.

fsttyms1 - is that vsa TB.. is that the first TB that is connected to the Air box?? If that is the one then yeah i did take that off and i placed all the sensors back in though. ill try and recheck them again. that VSA TB is that what controls the throttle when the Vsa is active?? i was reading the manuel and it says that when the vsa is activated it plays with the throttle a little to keep in control of the power. I know i hear something clicking though and i sounds like something in the rear near the fire wall though. would that sensor on the TB activate something else?? man that VSA is a pain.. i guess i have to check them all over again.

thanks for the replys guys. at least i know where to looks a little better for the problem.

ill let you guys know. if it helps. would shooting WD40 on the sockets of the sensors help with connection?? i dont want to spray it and it screws up the sensor.

Hey guys. well i figured out the problem. The TPS on the VSC Throttle body was off. When i was first going though to find out the VSC i accidentally took off that tps and i did not reset it and position it correctly. so actually the clicking noise was the first throttle body. My car is back to normal!!! WHOO HOOO.

01tl4tl - does it hurt that i did spray a little wd40?? i did it anyways. not like totally soaked but a little spray. i hope that it does not hurt. cause i would hate to shell out more money for sensors now haha.

thanks guys i appreciate all your guys help and guidance. next i think i have to really clean out that EGR and the Intake manifold completely. thats next on the agenda..

I use wd liberally on many of the connectors before washing the engine to protect them - WD= water dispersant test formula 40
It wont hurt- its a contact cleaner-

If you are trying to clean soda off the shifter micro switches- get the real cleaner with no residue formula

Just be glad you didnt let anyone mess with the car- you stayed here

Lesson to ALL- digital pics of assembled car- then as you take things off- can really save you hours of frustration later
masking tape with numbers matching wires to connection works good too for the basics-

pics to back it up that all is looking the same- or not is the saver

Hey wassup man, Well my problem was not the ABS sensor. Mines was the IACV valve. My car did not want to idle. Plus it threw the TCS off. But what i found out that my IACV valve was stuck so thats why it did not idle. Also the TPS on the first throttle body was a little off so i had to readjust it. so mines went off both. but all you need to do is clean out the IACV with carb cleaner. Also i just left the air intake tube off while i started it and i shot some carb cleaner in the throttle body so it can clean out some of the intake manifold. I also sucked up a whole can of seafoam. that kind of helped. good luck with it if you need help ill be more than happy to help guide you.

I Have This Problem Also. Mine In Semi Serious.. The Light Doesnt Come On Right Away. But Today On My Way To Work, I Noticed That B4 Vtec Its Good. But Them Like Almost B4 If You Hit The Gas Hard It Hesitates, Then The Tcs Light Flashes As Long Ure On The Gas. Then The Tcs Light And Vsa Turns Solid, And Power Is Restored.

I Am Really Stuck On This Problem.

Thank You, Any Feedback Will Help.

Jump Pin 4 and 9 on the OBD2 Scan port to get the code for the ABS issue.
