Help Heated Seats don't work, Alaska
I have a 2000 Acura TL, the heated seats on it dont work. Tried putting in a diiferent driver seat and still there is no heat except in the upper part of the seat. The passegner seat has no heat at all, one more thing all the fuses are good. Anyone had this kind of problems
Thanks
Thanks

see the other thread on fixed heated seat for 3 $
in the early pages are full pics
You have an electric blanket type assembly inside the seat
When a wire gets broken you need to strip the leather off the seat-
cut and replace the bad section of wire-reinstall
driver seat gets lumbar and butt, passenger only butt due to side airbag system
Run on HI for a few minutes to warm then LO-
hi has a temp overlimit switch
LO is for continued use and will cycle on and off to keep at warm temp

I tried looking for the thread but with no luck....Im actually interested to see how they fixed it. I dont know if mine is going bad but I dont remember feeling it on lumbar but do feel it on the butt area. Odd thing with mine is that sometimes when I have it on it stops working and I have to click the switch again and it starts again....any idea?

If its on HIGH it hits a temp limit switch and turns off until cool and then comes on again

I have a question regarding the seats. I was driving them earlier today and decided to have both seat warmers on and on the drivers side all I feel is the back warmer not the butt warmer and same as the passenger side??? Do we have butt warmers on these?

driver gets butt and low back, actually goes up the back pretty far
passenger gets butt ONLY, due to side airbag issues on their side
Its common for a wire or 3 to get broken in the drivers lower seat area
Wallets put pressure on a spot and eventually it breaks thru

hey, just saw this thread through search button, and i wanna know if the wire is not burned out or broken what else could it be. I got my car about 2 months ago and the heated seat worked fine. now both the back part and the seat part dont work and they both stoped working at the same time I believe. so could this be a wire problem or something else?

could be a fuse, or the heater elements- or the switch
