Help!! Did brake job, now car won't start!!

This is on a 2001 Acura TL, but I know you guys are smart

All I did was swap the rotors. That's simple. Took the old ones off, put the new ones in.

I jacked up one side of the car
Turned the wheel to expose the caliper bolts
Took off the caliper
Put new rotor on
Put caliper back
Repeat on other side.

The car sounds like it wants to turn over, but then all I hear is the spark plugs. One weird thing happened (but doesn't anymore) when I pressed the brakes, there was a huge voltage drop. The gas tank goes to empty, the temp and mileage LCD goes blank, but comes back on when I let go of the brakes. It doesn't happen anymore, now the car just keeps firing away with no start.

I disconnected the battery and pulled fuses to reset the car and nothing worked (and now I have no radio lol). Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you tested the battery to see if its good? How old is it. Did you try jump starting your car??

I'm going to go with "dead battery".

Do you have a charger or can you try a jump?

You guys were right, it's the battery. Just with everything working (power seats, radio, etc etc), power was the last thing I thought of.

Score one for zine! New battery worked. Wasn't a waste of money, turns out that battery was 7 years old (was doing my parents' car for them)

wow most people are lucky to get 4, maybe 5 years out of the OE battery!
You should notice a great improvement in performance now too

The electronic engine controls take way more power than a seat adjuster motor- the headlights are a good source of drain if you ned to test battery condition sometime
