How mechanically inclined are you? Are you able to test fuel pressure and spark?

Almost sounds like what happens with a stuck EGR valve, which isn't uncommon. The diaphragm inside might be blown out, but try tapping on it with a piece of wood.

so the timing belt jumped.. get this.. i just got my stuff in the mail go fucking figure... my mechanic said that i may be able to put on a new timing belt and tensioner and everything and it may be fine. what do you guys think? is that a waste? should i buy another motor? He said its a chance because the belt jumped a few teeth at the crankshaft but nothing major from what he saw. i Dunno. i think its time to get a new 3.2 or maybe another car... i''ve been dumping money into this car lately and i'm still making payments

Interesting. The only way I can figure a timing belt jumping a few teeth is having a bad tensioner. And people wonder if changing the tensioner is necessary when doing the belt. Yeah.
