Help! Best way to remove a leftside ballast

Thank goodness for forums. Could someone tell me the best way to remove a ballast on my 02 TL(left side). I also could use suggestions as per the best tools to do the job and what parts to take off to get at this akward part. I attempted to remove it but stopped when things started to get frustrating.
Thanks in advance for all who answers.

OK, I have the right info from the dealer, which is I now have to remove the front bumper then I can remove the headlight assembly.
This is where things are going to get tricky and I'm hoping on finding the right person who has personally removed the front bumper and who can tell me the best tools to use and any tips to make the job go easier. I have an 2002 TL Satin Silver. Oh is there any issues with the Air bag sensors located in the front. Not sure if there in/on the bumper or located on the frame. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

The bumper DIY is gone. but its very easy. there is 1 screw in each wheel well where teh bumper meets the fender. then with the hood poped you will see little black plastic clips that attach the bumper to teh car. Pop them up and pull them out. Then support the front of the car and you will see the same type of clips on the under the car (cant remember but there are like 6 of them) and there are 2 10 mm screws. remove them then start by pulling 1 side then the other. Id lay a blanket on the ground, it may just pop off and that will save it from scratches.

You dont need to worry about any airbag sensors or any thing like that. If you have a 02+ you may need to unplug the fog lights.

also, becare not to break the black plastic clips. I broke several when trying to remove my bumper, and man, its a pain to get them out when broken. So take you time on the clips. =)
