o well, changed all injectors along with the fuel rails bc it was easier that way. car runs great.

and another think i noticed, the egr port in the intake manifold was full of crud (not the port it self, but the big empty space thats above the port and under the cover). i took out at least a tea spoon of crap
i swapped out the manifold bc this one was plain and didnt want to ruin my painted on. it had 82k on it.

anyway hopefully it will be all good. gonna drive the car some more later today. and the brakes on my tl vs my cl, well lets just say, they suck balls. lol

i know its normal, but this was a bit too much. for 82k, it had alot. seen less with 120k. my old manifold was black, no gunk or anything and had 65k when i cleaned it.

but i have no misfires, no hesitations, no stalling, idles fine, drives great. problem is fixed.

now to throw my new p2r fuel rails and rdx injectors on to my spare engine

u tried seafoam?

since u dont have extra injectors laying around. take a power probe to the injectors and give it power. then listen. u should hear them click. never done it but seen mechanics do it on other cars.

Guess what,

misfires back.
only does it when the car has been sitting for many hours. but then the misfires goes away after 2-3min. so when its warmed up it, no misfire. only use 93 gas, and fill my cl at the same place and have no problems, so its not the gas.

its a really soft misfire, not like before. and cel doesnt come on. but u feel the misfire

Not necessarily, have you checked your motor mounts?

misfires at cold starts. then sometimes during driving at random times. all i get is a p1399, manufacturer controlled ignition malfunction or misfire. seem like we both have the same problem

any help would be appreciated. im gonna tank up at a diff gas station (used bp) tomorrow bc ive been using the same one for months now and thats almost when the problem started. but i filled my other cars their also and had no problem

update.
drving on the highway i kept getting po1399. manufacturer controlled ignition malfunction or misfire.

i check it again and get cyl 4 and 5 misfire, random misfire and that manufacturer code again

i filled up at a diff gas station (16.2gal) and did some wot passes. kept getting the manufacturer code. few wot runs later all is good no codes, ran great. get home without an issue. then while idling in front of my house i felt some hesitation, very very slight. so next ill be replacing the spark plugs to see whats up.

I have the same problem. Replaced plugs ran some Lucas Oil injector cleaner through it and still have the same problem. Getting a coil pack tomorrow so hopefully that will narrow it down. Just a question how often does this problem turn out to be an injector?

u might want to unplug coil by coil while the engine is running and misfiring. it can be more than one coil

That is weird. I am having the same issue. Change coil in cyl 2 and it seemed to work for a short time then after driving about ten miles the missfire came back. No cel yet but I can feel the missfire.

this sucks i'm having the same problem with misfires, no manufacture code like you though, it'll start fine in the morning, but after it's hot and multiple starts in a day it'll misfire and the cel finally came on, the guy at autozone read the codes and he said they could be getting to hot, he said i should go back to platinum ngk's instead of iridium.

ok. back to square one. started misfiring today afternoon. starting to piss me off now. two common codes that keep coming up are manufactures controlled ignition malfunction and or misfire and cylinder 4 misfire. WTF WTF WTF

it runs great at time then decided to be an asshole and misfire.

it started to misfire again when i floored it in the first 3 gears. driving back home an hour ago all was good. floored it in 1st and pulled strong. no problems. so its either a bad coil, or wiring. im just getting tired with finding whats wrong with this

ECU would be my guess (if you checked over the wiring and its not damaged)

i did have my afc neo hardwired. but when i removed it i soldered and put heat shrink over the solder. ill look at it tomorrow. but would that cause it to misfire from time to time? some days it works fine other days it runs like shit

does it tend to do it more when the car has been driven a lot in one day?

well driving home, i went WOT in 2nd gear and the damn misfire came back 1399. steering was shaking crazy, like if a rim wasnt tightened up (and the rims were tight). only happned twice for 5-10sec. then a minor hesitation started to happen, like it was misfiring

thats what i thought in the beginning after changing the coils.
ill take a look at the ecu harness to see if anything got loose or some bare wires are touching for some reason.

Today, the second I turned on my car it was misiring. I got on the highway and let the car loose. Check engine light would stop blinking the whole way to work. Car would go past 120mph and 5200rpm in eiter d5 or ss mode. Got off the highway and on the street. While cruise 45-50 thw car would shake violently (sp). Like when u floor it and get wheel hop, well I had the same kind of vibration at 50mph, steering wheel was jumping all over the place, WTF. Cara about to meet a tree

FUCK the TL. im done with it. gonna park it and leave it for a bit. drving on the way home, i was waiting to crash. steering wheel felt like i was holding a jack hammer and trying to break up concrete or like impacting lug nuts with an air gun but twice as bad. my arms are sore from holding the steering wheel, my calf's are numb from the vibration.

cl-s6 ur back on the road

next to change is the crk position sensor. already took it off my spare engine. i was looking at the ecu wires, this is what i found

the wire was electrical taped, i did not tape it, i know that for a fact bc i dont have 1 1/2" or so electrical tape, only 3/4". i started the car a few min ago and is running like a champ. dont know how long this is gonna hold up
