Has anyone gotten the Home Link to work?

I have tried to get my home link to work on two different (from what I assume rolling code) garage door openers and I can't get mine to link with either. No response to either of them. This was of course after resetting the homelink in my TL by holding both outer buttons for 20+ seconds. Does anyone have any advice?

I found that someone push a button on the garage door opener itself at the same time I pushed the homelink button in the car. Had my husband do the garage door opener since he does not mind climbing ladders. I pushed the remote and homelink buttons.

Homelink website shows you video or step by step instructions on how to program by choosing your vehicle and door opener manufacturer details.

Agreed! My brothers (now also my) garage requires a rolling code. Tried couple of times, and only time we were successful in doing is so as stated above!

Some openers, like the Genie that was in the house I bought, can be set to operate at more than one frequency. The default frequency was incompatible with homelink, but the other works. There was a button or switch on the opener motor assembly. If you look at your opener it probably has the model number on it. You can probably find an owner's manual using Google if you don't have a hard copy.

actually all you have to do is push the button on the opener then do the program for the home link. it's a rolling code so it has to be sync'd first and that is what pushing the button on the opener does, one man operation you don't have to push them both at the same time just have to push the opener then program the car's remote.

tried that on our garage door opener-did not work so we had to do the 2 person thing.

It must depend on the brand and model of opener then as I had no issues doing it that way.

Tried the two person way yesterday. No such luck, just watched the video and from the looks of it I am doing it wrong. I need to sync the home link with the remote first, then the opener 2nd. I'll let you guys know if I get that to work.

I use mine and on my wife's MDX all the time. My garage door openers has a button that you have to push and have 30 seconds to get back to the car and press the respective button. It's not just pushing a button in the car that will set the homelink feature

I've got mine to work on three different garages by holding the garage remote button and the homelink button at the same time. Pretty sure one of them was rolling code
