Hi.
I have a 2003 tl type 3 with 99,000 miles (no tranny issues yet). The wierdest thing happenned. When I would have my foot on the gas all was fine, as soon as I let off the gas I heard an exhaust sputtering noise coming from th engine compartment. Kind of sounded like a harley. On the gas all was fine, off the gas I heard the noise at all speeds. Then as quickly as it came it went.

Any ideas??

No clue what could be causing that, but TL Type-3? You mean Type-S.

 

I kinda noticed it and was told that it was the type of gas i was burning. Also I hear it mostly on cold starts in the morning. I was told that theres something in the gas that clogs up part of your engine or something. Not sure if this is true. Probably ask them when i get my tranny changed this week.
