Gas pedal pushes down too easy

hey all, i haven't gotten to the tranny fluid flush and fill 3 x's method yet to update those who have given me some advice.i will get to that job later.i think i'm having an issue with my gas pedal being too easy too push down.i'm not used to it like on my 1987 ford country squire lx,1994 pontiac bonneville and 2008 ford e250 van..i also am in dire need of the front, right transverse(?) and 2 left transaxle motor mounts and am wondering if it has anything to do with it.so like if i push the pedal down and with the excessive response movement if it makes it easier to jerk the motor and accelerate too fast..idk..what's your opinion.thanks.

Your throttle cable is probably due for an adjustment. Check your engine mounts too. That may be exaggerating the jerk.

it's not going to be the cable but the tension spring.there is no play in the cable and yes mounts too helps the jerk but too soft a pedal will make it jerk.

Ok. Might want to replace that tensioner then.

Isn't the cable the only part that's adjustable on our engines?
