Fuel Pressure Regulator -- Black dot

So I spoke with the local Acura Dealer about my occasional idle surge / no throttle issue that doesn't throw a CEL. I told them everything I've done to the car. He said it could possibly be the Fuel Pressure Regulator and to check to see if it had a black dot on it (like someone dotted it with a sharpie). I checked and I have a pink dot on mine. When I told the service manager he said that one is faulty and that I need the regulator with the black dot on it. He ordered one for me and I'll install it over the weekend.

While I'm not sure if it will fix my problem, I thought everyone should know about the updated, black dot Fuel Pressure Regulator.

Mine only cost $12. List is $16.

Sadly, it did not fix my problems.

You sure you replaced the regulator? That price is too cheap for it to be the fuel pressure regulator. I think you replaced something else. fsttyms has the right price I think.

Then you did not replace the regulator.

Yes, that's the part I replaced and yes the price was what I stated. Do you need a picture of the receipt from the Acura dealership or can a noob to the site be right once?

Damn dude than you stole it! Kragen.com wants $100 for that part. Post the part number on the receipt because I want to see this for myself. What's the name of your dealer so I can buy the 105K service parts?

I believe you !, now please order some more @ your local dealer to share the good price on this "oem" part with the rest of us. I'll bet you could even surcharge the list price and have several "ziners" standing in line for this part. Me first

Well then they gave it away or had it mismarked because that is a 100 dollar part. Its not supposed to be that cheap.

Sorry if I seem pissy. It's just I know what I bought, and essentially being told I lied isn't cool. Nonetheless, here is what I bought for a total of $112.28 w/ tax:

16740-PGK-A010 Regulator Assy. List: $16.72 --- Net $12.54. Amount $12.54
53010-S84-A01 End Set, Rack $30.40
53540-S84-A01 End, R. Tie Rod $31.24
53560-S84-A01 End, L. Tie Rod $31.24

$105.42 plus $6.86 = $112.28

The regulator I bought looks exactly like the one in the pictures above.

Edit: I should add that I'm glad I didn't shell out $100 for something that didn't fix my problem. $13 I can handle.

I just went out to check the vacuum pressure and it's sitting steady at 18.5. The problem is intermittent and doesn't throw a code. Calling Acura on Monday.
