Front Plate Relocator... ummm fail.

I just bought a StrutKing front plate relocator and I went outside to see where I could put it on the front end... but there's like a bunch of plastic bumps on the top of the bottom on the right side and left side...

could someone post pictures of an 02/03 relocator on the left or right side? I didn't see any pictures from behind the plate on the left or right side...

If you have the plate holder you can just flip that over and screw the screw back in and bang you can see the sexiness of the front bumper. There is a DIY on here for it somewhere.

A DIY? All you have to do is unbolt the plate from the holder, unbolt the holder, turn the holder upside down, line it up with the holes, bolt it back up, re-mount the plate and presto, you're done. Not really much to it.

LMAO! thank goodness for Georgia not requiring front plate!!!

Can you do the old "keep the plate by your seat and throw it in the front window for the po-po's or when parking"?

jus cuz you don't wanna drill a hole in your bumper doesn't mean you don't have to run one...

my friend with the EVO IX bought his car right when it got off the transporting trucks..
workers didn't even get a chance to drill holes for the plate....

next thing you kno.. he got a ticket and went to his dealer and got the plate installed...

Didn't work for me.. bolts aren't long enough. Are you guys bending the plastic or something? I remember at a meet, I talked to a guy that did it.. and he said he heated up the plastic to make it bend in order to get the bolts to securely fasten in.

^I'm debadged... But a cop that pulled me over knew what my car was... knew my ASPEC wheels... and said it looked good lowered. lol
Def carry around the plate.

Since I got a new bumper, forwhatever reason, I can't get the license plate mount bolts into the bumper all the way... So that's my semi-valid excuse.

My sis has one of those BMW vanity plates in the front too. The car didn't have a front plate when she bought it and she's never had issues. Cops usually leave you alone unless they have nothing better to do.

Not in California, the front license plate nazis. I've had mine sitting in the front window passenger side and a cop pulled me over. He said for CA it specifically has to be BOLTED to the bumper. Not double stickie taped. Not glued. BOLTED. AAARRGGH!

Added info: BTW, the above vehicle wasn't the TL, it was my DC5..which was two cars prior to the TL.

BTW, when I first bought this car it didn't have a front plate at all. When I got new plates issued I had the plate, yet again...on the front window passenger corner. I was parked on city streets and got nailed YET AGAIN for no "valid plates" shown. Damn. AGAIN.

Because I didn't feel like buying the license plate bracket I ended up doing this..I took metal strapping (the ones w/ a bunch of holes down the middle)...bent it to shape, enlarged the holes a bit to allow the M6 bolt to go through it....and bolted the plate to it. It does kinda flap around and I"m trying to think of a way to keep it more secure (so it doesn't keep flapping against the lip and destroying the paint!)

Why not just buy the plate bracket? I think it's only $10-15 which is a lot cheaper than re-painting the lip.

Yeah, I know...but I hate how it looks w/ the plate sticking out in the front. I'd probably keep it there if they flush mounted it or something...
