front brakes

Have had repeated problems with new brakes and pads.
Midas did them and disk warpage set in almost immediately. They resurfaced the new rotors--same result. Finally put in another new set of "better quality rotors" with new ceramic pads. This time they lasted about 6 months. Back to square one. What to do?
I don't ride the brakes and l also don't make hard stops. Never had this on original equipment, only on mechanic installed ones. Is it rotors, pads or me?
Please help.

what brand was the "better quality rotor" ?

oem rotors are trash, they warp extremely easy. also if the mechanic used an impact wrench to tighten the lug nuts he may have contributed to the warping by over tightening the lugs.

you should look into after market slotted rotors, i am in the process of installing EBC dimpled and slotted rotors with red stuff ceramic pads. hope they hold up better. many other people have after market rotors with no problems.

its not you, its the rotor.

you can use an impact gun to tighten them, but it needs a torque stick on it, to have them be tightened even (and limit the amout of torque they are tightened)

I put on Auto-zone Gold Series Rotor's and Pad's 3.5 years ago....I started to get a tiny little vibration at stop just about six months ago. I plan to have the Rotors turned when I get around to it. I would definately recommend them considering I did all 4 wheels for less than the dealer was going to charge for doing 2.
