What's good fellow tler's? I have an issue with all this hot whether and the temperatue of my engine. I am not talking about the outside temp, i'm talking about the actual engine temp. When i have my car stopped @ a stop light with the AC on the needle heads up sky high. It literally goes as high as the last notch before the red. I drive a little bit and temp comes down somewhat, the reading is still at 3/4. Come to another stop and temp rises near 2 the red again. There is ample radiator fluid and fan comes on but the engine still runs red hot. Any suggestions? Maybe the thermostat? any info would help, THANKS

Check the radiator for gunk/calcium buildup by opening the radiator cap(whiteish/rusty). Verify that both fans run.If all those check out. Replace the Thermostat. Test drive.

Replace the thermostat and bleed the coolant. It could also just be air in the coolant. Make sure you get this fixed ASAP to avoid busting a head gasket. If it's still not fixed, you may need a new water pump.

Much thanks.
Thanks for the input guys. I'll take a closer look today. Keep the suggestions rolling, dont want a blown gasket or any engine damage so let me know everything.
