I was wondering how much would it be if you can take your car to the local Acura dealership shop and have them do a full inspection.. is it free or will it cost to do this? I was driving my Tl yesterday while driving back home I smelled something like Burnt BBQ comin out the A/C then left it at home and when i went to go use it later the night it was making some wierd nosie not sure thats going on .. any help would be great ..

Sounds like time to look at the cabin air filter- located behind the glovebox
You can do it at home if you have a screwdriver and scissors
Big DIY in gen2 on it
The blower motor is right there and its connector sometimes burns or the fan motor has a problem'
Dont use the ac at all until you inspect or you can have a fire!!!
The dealer is in the biz of making money- if a mechanic is looking at your car- you are paying
Exception to extended warranty transmission cars

Register your car here too- thats acuras warranty center computer

Get a 2nd opinion and also change your cabin filters. Does your AC work properly?

yup i changed my air filter thingy, The guy said its the compressor thingy that burned out he said it cost around 300 to get a new one or something and then something with empyting out the gas water? and everything esle labor cost run about $700 .. it makes a noise when i turn on my car and makes it overheat or something so i can't drive my car untill its fixed.. the first guy that checked it out my parents said he disconnected the AC/HEAT connector or something and it made no sound at all and turned on smoothly.. then he replaced it or something and then i think he messed it up and did something to make it overheat.. ANY HELP ? i might have to just pay the $700 =(
