Engine noise from cold start
It's annoying that engine ticking noise and when I do turning wheels grinding noise from wheel or probably from axle it only happen when cold start in the morning after car warming up and it gone.
Does it happen to any one? What do u deal with it?
My mechanic said it's nomal but it's better without noise for me. I know it doesn't happen in the summer though. Thanks in advance.

Maybe your oil level is low, or the viscosity is too thick- what is the viscosity of the oil in it? Not sure what you mean by grinding noise from wheel- from the ps pump?

First thing i would do is find a different mechanic! Then i would find out what the ticking noise is. Is it a tensioner? Is it your valves? or is it the purge control solenoid? Grinding? is it brake related or is it something else. we cant help you without better information.

Grinding is like toteltl said may be related to p. steering. I think it could a leak ps fliud because I top up ps fliud 2 days ago and saw the fluid leaking on the floor and fluid level is below minimun that's the reason why grinding noise coming for ps running dry but how come nothing can hear in the day time when the weather is warm. How much to replace ps pump? Thanks Cris.

find the cause of the leak, the grinding noise is probably the ps pump, Either its because its low and once running the level and air are gone or the fluid quiets the bearing noise. 90 used up to 300 or so new (not including labor) One thing you can do is take off your belts and start the car (cold motor) and see if it still makes the ticking. if not you know its something there, if so its possible you need a valve adjustment (something thats not hard)

they belts are very easy to remove. it takes 30 min or less to take old belts off and put new ones on.

My 02TLP got the valves ticking noice when engine is warm up , any thoughts anyones?
The first 5-10 min from the cold start engine run without the ticking noice .
I just can not figure it out why ...I did the valves adjustment last month but no change .
It sounds like not enough oil reach

my right front wheel also makes a grining noise during cold mornings when i turn for some odd reason, but i sprayed WD40 in there and its gone now.. I think its my brakes though because before I had my brakes replaced 20K ago, i didnt hear any grinning noise from the wheel before and now when i brake my steering wheel vibrates but i can also feel it on my foot as i apply the brakes...
