I installed the front mount myself on my 03 TL-S, it was easy.

How did you pull the old one out? I had to feed it through the top.

There are 4 of them, but normally people replace the front, the right, and the rear. I hardly hear anyone mentioned about the left mount (drivers side). The front and the right are easy enough to do. For the rear I would suggest to bring it to the shop if you have no idea how to do it.

Almost correct. There are 5 of them. 2 are on the left side

The easiest way to see a bad mount is to have someone put the car in gear, with the brake on ofcourse. While in gear push the gas just a bit and watch the movement of the enigine. I would start off with reverse then go to drive. Try that, but be very careful not to shift while the engine is not idling.
