Unhappy Electrical gone crazy

Yesterday i went to the car wash. It was a touchless, high powered spray and undercarrage wash with dryers at the end. Driving home after, my instrument panel lighting went out. The exclusion to this was the clock, climate control, and radio lights. Also my driver side head light went out, with the fog lights, and the high beam halogen light on the drivers side was dim, without the high beam switch on.

Today, i have a high pitched beep coming out of the back, bose sub-woofer. This is present no matter if the radio is on FM or CD. It is not continuous, stopping and starting at random intervals.

I checked all the fuses to find two that were blown. I changed twice and once i turned on the lights, both would blow.

I have a 2002 acura tls with hard wired radar detector and hard wired navigation.

please help!!

So i finally found out what the problem was after trial and error on all the front lights. The ballast for the left light blew, it was sizzling before the fuse would blow... so i unplugged that and now everything else is working besides that

the downside is that i have to buy another ballast. But also my bose sub-woofer is still making that high pitched squel from it. I cant figure that one out.

Has this ever happened to you guys?

headlamp ballast

Out of curiousity........were your lights on while going through the car wash ? Perhaps a surge shorted out the circuit for the headlamp. Maybe something was loose or exposed on the LHS. Check it out.

never go thru an underbody wash or any hi pressure wash on the TL
If you read the headlight failure thread and see that water and ballast dont mix well at all
Just water that got inside the housing-- will drip on the ballast and kill it

I still have a loud squel coming out of the subwoofer and a almost silent squel coming out of the four speakers on the doors. This is still present after i fixed the electrical problem and all fuses hold power. What would be making this noise?

Remember, it happens when there is not any volume on or when there is volume on. It happens when I am on any setting from CD to Radio. The sound of the music im listening tois still present, but the squel is constant throught the music. i have a stock bose radio.

sounds like there's still water somewhere in your system. happened to me when i washed the underbody of my prelude. made the mistake of not having a front splash guard, and water shot up and put yeah. the normal squeal would usually come out of an amped up system, but if you're still stock, i cant see why.
