Good day everyone.
Has anyone had a high pitched whining noise upon cold start which tapers off after warming up. My local mechanic seems to think idler pulley, but the noise seems to be coming more from the lower drivers side.

I've got that problem too but it's on the passenger side....oh wait that's my wife!

I guess it is hard to fix that whinning noise on your passenger side.

 

Would not be surprised at tranny after following some of the threads. Did have idler pulley replaced though, since it was wobbling around on its bearings. Still have 40K left on tranny warranty, so if it blows OH! well.
