Exclamation EGR Flow Insufficient!, What Do i Need to Do?

Well, Had this check engine light for a while. I borrowed a friends computer reader and hooked it up to my 1999 TL-p. I didnt right the exact code number down but it said EGR Flow Insufficient!. What exactly needs to be cleaned out?? Is it the EGR Valve or the EGR Ports. If its the EGR Ports, what needs to be removed and how difficult is this. I also have a Cold Air installed already.

Do a search. This is a common problem. In fact I think the 1999 has a TSB on it that involved reaming out the port and putting in a sleeve.

your cold air doesnt have naything to do with this..

umm i wrote up a DIY a while back for the 99TL. you have to clean out the EGR port, which requires to take out the intake manifold. i'll try to look it up..

found it..

https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/wiring-harness-reciever-118568/

some pictures are missing.. but all you have to do is clean all that clog up using throttle body cleaner..

its not that hard to do. any questions just PM me. oyeah and the 99TL intake manifold is totally different from the 00-03. the location of the EGR port is also different. but once you get the intake manifold off, just cleaning it is the problem.

Please be aware that for 1999 TLs, there is actually a TSB to fix the issue of EGR flow insufficient. Unfortunately, it's covered by warranty only for 8 years or 80000 miles.
