EGR cleaning wont start
guess im the only dumb fu*k that messed up, now disassembled all fine wasnt installing the thermo block just cleaning the egr out. now my vsa light and triangle vsa have been on for about two weeks so i thought it may have something to do with this.
anyway i cleaned out the IM and TB with degreaser first to clean the gunk that was built up then with seafoam tb cleaner
let it sit for about an hr, (finished up my stereo problem (another thread another day)) then reinstalled. went to start..... nothing it tried to turn over then started coughin kinda. said ok stopped tried again
gave it a lil gas and it started but rough. then i waited thinking maybe something was still wet on the inside.
tried about an hr later still actin up
checked all connections 3 times disconnected and reconnected. my back hurts
any suggestions .?

ok question where did you use the degreaser??? I only used TB cleaner in the manifold. did in you any in the air inlet??? If you let it sit for one hour thats plenty of time to dry. When I did mine it started a lil rough but it was fine after that. Lets us know man. I know 04tl or Kris can help you better than I can
You are supposed to rinse ALL the cleaning solution out of the MNAIFOLD with fresh water from the hose. Then air dry, - compressed air preferred of course.
If you shot degreaser in the TB, try using carb cleaner to get rid of that stuff.
Engine needs gasoline to run not solvent and citrus products.

UPDATE
ok so took the day off took the thing back apart, and i noticed the throttle bodies have antifreeze in them. im thinking in my ignorance i didnt mark the hoses and i may have connected a water line to a vacum line
i opened the IM and washed it out
took the plenium(the side thingies) off the IM and washed them out but does anyone have a pic of the hoses connected or any word of advice on that?

Nothing?
I put everyting thing back together then started it
it started strong and ran for about 10 secs
then it idled down and dies
checked the tb's and there was antifreeze in there again.
i chased down the hoses and all seem to be going to the water pump area. every hose that is hanging around afterwards and they all seem to fit right back where they are connected to.
anyhelp
its being dropped off at a shop in two days but still wanted to get more done anyway on my own.

You have the lines hooked up wrong. Any thing that has antifreeze in them shoulndt be hooked up to a spot that has vacuum. Take the lines off and look closely to where they should go as opposed to where you have them going. I dont have my TL here nor is it stock looking but if i remember right the only spots on the TL that get coolant thru them is on the side and bottom of the TB.
I bet that is the problem. He has the anti freeze line hooked up wrong. Let me see if I can find that pic. I will take a pic in the morning if you haven't got it fixed.
