EGR clean...shake?

So I did this today
https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...67&postcount=8
Car feels great, better than ever. Except some crazy shake in the front now.
I know it can be a few things but my axels are new and it takes off fine without shake. At 60 on the highway is all kinds of stutter and shake. 80 its pretty much gone. I'll have to check mounts too.
Im just hoping I didnt screw something up when I put it back together. Everything is tight to spec. Is is possible that the IM would cause this? I reused gaskets and made sure everything lined up. Any help would be great, thanks.

Take your upper Intake cover plate off and make sure you have the gasket on correctly. It sounds like you have it on upside down.

Pardon my ignorance, upper gasket is the first gasket you encounter?
Under the silver plate?
Or the one with 6 holes in it?

Its the first gasket under the silver plate that sticks thru the plastic engine cover.

The gasket that this sits on. It sounds like its upside down

Cool thanks! That's the way easier one to remove, heh.
Exactly what mine looked like super nasty. But now super shiny .
I'm gonna go flip it over now. So when I drive to work in the morning I'll now if that's what it was.
Thanks fstty for your help once again.

Man I can't believe I over looked that! It was upside down blocking some holes.
That was definitely the problem. Runs perfect now, no stutter/shake at 60. Car seems much happier.

Thanks!

i thought i read somewhere that it's a big NO NO to reuse the IM top cover gasket (the one he was talking about) if you were to take that stuff apart to clean egr ports or whatever? i just haven't gotten around to purchasing a new one, which is why i've put off cleaning mine - have never cleaned em in 152k miles

You CAN reuse it. Its metal. Its the TB gasket you dont want to reuse
