Hello all,
I know there is/are some threads on 1999 TL cd player doesn't play CD-R (burned CDs). Same issue I have on my 1999 TL.

My friend has a 2002 cd player, 6 disc changer. I am planning to buy it from him. I wonder if this unit will fit and work with my car (99 TL).

Also, where can i find the instructions on how to replace the HU?

Yes, it's plug-n-play replacement. I installed one in my 1999 TL and it plays CD-Rs fine.

It's written for an Acura CL but the steps are identical for a TL.

While you have access to the back of the head unit, you might also want to install an MP3/iPod adapter like a BlitzSafe. That's what I did and I hardly play CDs anymore.
