trying to figure out why my drivers side light has been looking different the past few days, does this obvious color-shift (more towards purple-white than what i'm used to) mean that the bulb is burning at a different temp? It seems to me like the bulb would just go out if it was going bad.....i tried to capture it in a couple pics here, any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated....also some info for replacement bulbs - locations - prices, would be great, i'd probably try to upgrade both bulbs since i doubt it's covered under extended warranty..

well the driverside looks purple-ish and the passenger look blue-ish to me....

 

well. I think you were trying to help, but that ^^^^^^ is the whole reason I posted the thread. maybe you read it? I'm trying to figure out WHY it's happening / WHAT exactly is happening / HOW to fix.

Yeah - it looks like your car's got pink eye. I thought my bulbs were going once and thought I'd need a replacement. It turns out it was just normal color shift.

Although the colors shift over time and usage, I think you're on the right path looking for a replacement for both bulbs. Replacing one will certainly result in a mismatch.
