Cruise Control Actuator Motor. How hard to replace?
Cruise Control Actuator Motor. How hard to replace?
Hi guys,
I just got my '03 TL a few weeks ago from my grandpa and the one thing wrong with the car is the cruise doesnt work. We have traced it back to the actuator motor. The dealer wants 350$ plus labor. I found the motor for 100$. How hard would it be to do it myself? Has anyone done this?
Thanks,
Alex

Super duper easy?
Housing is bolt on into a metal bracket with 4 Philips heads and the bracket itself is hold by 3x10mm bolts.
To remove the Actuator line you just need to remove 1 Philip Head holding a Little bracket into the motor. To remove the Metal Line from the Cruise actuator just with your left hand turn the actuator (Since its spring loaded) and remove the metal line from it with your right hand = DONE < Reverse Procedure to Install.
EDIT: Forgot to unplug and plug cables but thats pretty obvious.
Hope that helps.
