Car was running like total junk. Was a bad coil so I replaced coils and plugs now it runs great. Just keeps getting P1399 code with no vacuum leaks. Saw a video about removing the top metal plate on motor and cleaning the small passages that go to the EGR valve. Just looking for suggestions.
This is for a friend that is a delivery driver and he really needs his car LOL. Thanks.

 

I meant to add that it has 235,000 miles on it and we really don't know the stats of motor.

 

misfire code.. but does it run rough at cold start or when restart after engine reach temp ??

 

Seems to run perfectly fine all the time. Going to remove top plate over motor this weekend to see if it is all clogged up etc.

 

I took over top plate over engine. None of the ports were clogged. Egr valve itself seems perfectly clean. No vacuum leaks. I'm stumped. Really worried now that it is the timing belt or valve clearance.
