i was wanting to get a new cluster maybe type s if i were to swap in another cluster will the miles transfer with the cluster or does the computer store the miles or will i get the miles from the new cluster and add on from there ?

 

The miles will not transfer. The odometer stores the mileage within the cluster itself.

Don't bother upgrading to the type S cluster. There's a DIY, but it's more of a journey than a project.
