Wuz up everybody...It's probably nothing serious but My 02 Acura tl type s makes a click when in park and the brake is applied. It doesn't make the click any other time. Just annoying. Can anybody help.

 

the brake safety release so you can shift out of park only when the brake is pressed.

 

i was in the car playing with it and i found that it is the release for the shifter..For some reason I don't remember it making the noise before...Is there a way to make the noise stop..is it worth the hassel...does anybody elses make the noise..I'd feel better if it wasn't just me..and lastly does the noise get worste

 

mine has always done it (99) haven't noticed any problems

 

Maybe a silicone spray to the mechanism?

 

ya, mines always done it too. never had any problems resulting from it

 

you'll get used to the sound. we all have that sound

 

Its normal dude, a lot of other cars have it too, not just ours.
