OWN: 03 TL TYPE-S:
I TURN ON MY CAR AND I NOTICED THAT THE HIGH BEAM INDICATOR WAS DIM ON MY DASHBOARD . I WENT OUTSIDE TO CHECK AND I SAW THAT MY PASSENGER SIDE HID LIGHT IS OFF AND THE HIGH BEAM IS ON (DIM), AND MY DRIVER SIDE HID IS ON WITH THE HIGH BEAM ON (DIM) WITH THE FOG LIGHTS ON , SO I WENT BACK TO THE CAR AND I TURNED ON THE HIGH BEAM AND THE PASSENGER SIDE IS COMPLETELY OFF BUT THE DRIVER IS ON ( BOTH HIGH BEAM AND HEADLIGHT) BUT WITH THE FOGS OFF WHICH NORMALLY HAPPENS. I PUT HIDS ON THE FOGS 4 MONTHS AGO AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM TILL NOW. SO I CHECK THE FUSE BOX FOR THE HEADLIGHTS BUT NO FUSES ARE BURNT OUT AND ALSO CHECKED THE HID BULBS FOR BOTH HEADLIGHTS AND THEY ARE NOT BLOWNED OUT, SO I DISCONNECTED THE BALLAST FROM THE DRIVER SIDE AND NOW I DRIVE WITH THE FOGS ON BCUZ WHEN I TURN ON THE LIGHTS THE HIGH BEAM TURNS ON BUT THEN SHUTS OFF . HAS ANYBODY HERE ENCOUNTERED THAT PROBLEM, I HOPE IS NOT BECAUSE I INSTALLED THE HIDS ON THE FOGS!! I SPOKE TO MY FRIEND WHO HAS THE SAME CAR AND HE TOLD ME I WAS SUPPOSE TO PUT A RELAY FOR THE FOGS , IS THIS TRUE AT ALL? OR IS IT JUST THAT THERE IS AN ELECTRIC PROBLEM ? I NEED YOUR GUYS INTEL ON THIS. THANKS !!

 

I would start by disconnecting what ever you did for your fogs and see if it helps.

:shakehead, a mod with a , and watch it will disapper due to him actually being able to just go and edit it, where the rest of us got a stupid 5 minute time limit

 

i am having the same problem, my driver side low beam gave out, it was raining the past couple days over here in la, my low bean and my fogs gave out, so i change the fogs and the fuse that blew out, fogs and pasenger healight work but driver side is still out, then not to long after my high beams started diming on its own, so when that would happen my fogs would shut of, the way they would turn on is when i would switch the high beams on and off, then right after the fogs would work. i check the plug were it connects to the hid box and theres power. ???? what the hell is going on??

 

almost sounds like the turn signal stalk (headlight switch) is going out
