cel/02sensor/rt cat

i have the RT cat.
my CEL went on, the code was the front bank 02 sensor bad.

so....i ordered a new sensor but they sent me the rear by mistake.

i didn't realize until i took the old one(in the process stripped the threads on the 02 sensor).

the wiring on the front and rear sensors are different.

different wire lengths and the rear terminated with a female connector, the front terminates with a male connector.

i needed the car, so i cut the connector off the old sensor and soldered it onto the new rear 02 sensor and put that in front 02 sensor bank.

you follow me?

so the CEL was off for a few days, now its back on.

my questions is:

is the rear sensor the same as the front 02 sensor?
they looked exactly the same except for the wire length and the connector.

are they actually different 02 sensors?

is it possible that the RT cat will throw the CEL error because it is just not compatible?

does anyone else have a problem with the RT cat?

help....i have to get this car thru inspection.

They have different part #s and im sure they are different. If its the front sensor, the cat has nothing to do with it since the sensor is reading before the cat. You should get teh correct sensor

90.00.
hope this works.
the obd code says catalytic threshold exceeded..hopefully it is because it is the wrong sensor.
