I was just wondering if anyone else has had issues with there factory cd changer not working. i bought a 99 acura 3.2 tl w/ the navigation system. and the cd changer will not work. it will eject the magazine.

 

yes... i have a problem with my 03 tl-s in which the display shows...ERE1...= error 1?

and its now jammed or not reading the CD's. I can eject, or change to the next cd either...

anyone have a clue?

 

I'm assuming you're talking about a factory installed trunk-mounted disc changer since the 99-01 had single-disc in-dash players?

 

chewi, I've had problems getting burned cd's out of my changer before. If the door opens a try to use another cd to push down on the one stuck inside. I don't think it can't grab the burned cd's as well as comercial cd's. Pop out all the discs and you should be good to go. If this doesn't help, I hope you still have your waranty.

ANYWAYS...

last few weeks my 6 disc cd changer has no more CD Changing problems for some reason.

The Way i think i Fixed it was.... As soon as I got it to move and start changing CD's, I Ejected all 6 of the CD's out...

Then I put them all back in.

After putting them all back in.... I gave the CD Changer a good EXERCISE hoping that The CD changer mechanism will run smoother and not get stuck again...

HOW to EXERCISE your CD Changer?????????

Well... I just kept working the CD Changer by changing from CD 2-4-3-5-1-6(random order) for about 5 mins...

From then on I never got my CD's stuck while changing from disc to disc. and of course NO MORE ERE-01 code...

I'm just glad its working fine and i hope it wont screw up on me again.
