This issue just started last week take 3-4 secs before the engine will turn over. It wouldn't start a month ago, I took it to autozone the said the battery was at 98%. The I tightened the battery down and the car started, and so it was just loose that time. After searching the forum, and 3rd Gen tl owners have that issue, and but no 2nd Gen owners have the same issue. There's no starter solenoid clicking, and the starter just struggles for 3 secs then starts the car. Any ideas what it might be? Thanks in advance

 

i had the same problem i have a 2000 TL replace the batt cables should fix the problem. There is a ton of crud built up deep inside the cables.

 

thanks I'll give that a shot. Wouldn't hurt any since its only a few bucks.
