i used to have that.. i did more then just fuel and spark and it went away.. (plugs, oil, battery, air filter, give it a tune-up or get one done if you cant)

As in you get on the gas and the car doesn't take off? Or more like a manual and it's like the car is finding the gear?

I occasionally get the second, I'm not sure the cause but it's never been a problem. If I was driving stick it would seem like that moment between giving it a little gas and the clutch being released. You know the little hesitation. Well you'd have to have driven stick I guess.

i think i may have a similar problem... sometimes i feel like the car is really sluggish off starts. really noticed when driving in and out of the city for summer classes with all of the start-stop traffic due to all the traffic lights

Talking Same here

Well almost. My 2000 TL on occasion and for no apparent rhyme or reason will start to hesitate slightly for around 2-3 seconds and then smooth out again. Always when driving and never from a stop. I was convinced it was the MAP sensor and replaced that. No diff. The engine has been faithfully maintained and now has 97K on it. Spark plugs were swapped out at 90K. Mechanic who works on it is a Honda specialist and stated that he sees it in these cars mainly when traveling uphill around 30-35MPH but has yet to figure out what is going on. Buddy of mine says its the wires, but I am having a hard time believing that, as it should be all the time I would think. Never see the engine light come on and it is always only for a very brief spell. Not related to the weather (cold, hot, rain or shine always there). Now I am wondering about the fuel filter but had that done a while back. Any other thoughts?
