Question car felt sluggish ie tranny

So last night im coming home from work i hit traffic.going about 25mph i feel the car having trouble getting up to speed and shifting correctly. ive only had the car for 8 months put in 10k. i changed out the tranny fluid once i got the car. as well as today. it turned out to be like a dark plum/wine color and some metal shavings were on the plug.so that worried me .it turns out it still feels like the car is sluggish at times.ie once coming from a stop or going from 55 to 70 may take a bit of lead footing. am i f'ed in the a? sorry im using the g1 to post

How many miles were on the car when you bought it and have you checked the vin to see if the tranny has been replaced before?

Take it to the stealership. They'll either good will a tranny, or give you a nice discount on one.

I hate to say it but it sounds like tranny is about to bite the dust. I had a friend with the exact same problems you described and his tranny failed soon after. The metal shavings are normal unless you find chunks of metal. From what i gathered over the years i would never swap out fluid ever unless other service needs to done where you have no choice, this is my opinion.

There have been to many stories of members and people i know that did a fluid change and shortly after their tranny went out. Not saying it happens to everyone but enough to make me not wanna take that risk. Did any of your dash lights come on?
