Car bogging when accelerating
This just started happening a couple of days ago, when I go to accelerate from a stop the car doesnt torque off like it used to, it slightly falls on its face like its bogging down. But that happens like 1 out of 8 times i go to accelerate. What could it be?

how about a little more info. Like does nothing happen when you push the gas or does it start to accelerate and then the motor just like dies out for a sec?? and CEL? does the RPM swing up but little forward movement?

How many miles? year/model
Could need (putting on NOMEX fire suit) SEAFOAM treatment
Fuel injectors get dirty and dont spray right, valves and pistons get
combustion by-products on them and spark plugs that are worn cant burn the fuel
See the gen 2 thread Seafoamed the Ol TL for full instructions
Tune up in a can- for real!

What it sometimes acts like is like a carburated car. You know, if a carburated car isnt warmed up and you go to accelerate it, the reaction time bogs a little until its warmed up, then it has fast accelerations. Thats how my car sometimes is, but has nothing to do with warming it up. No check engine lights. Im guessing maybe some intake cleaner might clear it up?

seafoam that bitch and then change your plugs as I'm sure you have a ton of crap in their the seafoam will clean out and may foul up your plugs. check your air filter also as that may be the culprit.

You know why it was reacting very sluggish? I live in Florida, and that week was the hottest ever. During the day it would be at least 100+ degrees with high huminidy. At night it would be 90 degrees and very muggy. Our acura's run good in cooler weather like low 80's and lower. Now that the weather is in the mid 80's and mid 70's at night it runs 10 times better like it should. And I always new when it was hot outside my car wouldnt produce 100% of it power as it would during nightfall. But this time it was very scorchering hot and thats why it was sluggish.

Makes perfect sense. My car is the same way of course it doesn't hit 100 here often, but very humid weather is common to go along with mid 90's in the summer. When it's cooler out like right now my car is alive and full of energy.
