So as of 4:30am this morning, the A/C was blowing ICE cold as usual, I start the car up around 2 this afternoon and its blowing hot air, brand new condensor fan is not turning on and I dont believe the compressor is either. I used a test light and checked if the non-popped fuse (replaced it still) for the Condensor fan was getting power, it was, but then i checked the harness for the fan itself, its not getting any power, hence thats why its not coming on. Now Ive not had a single problem with the a/c, Its been recharged by the dealer last year.., any ideas what might be causing this?

 

do you hear the compressor click when you turn on the a/c? Did you check the actual wiring harness for the condenser fan or did you try testing the actual condenser fan? Try testing the condenser fan by hooking it up to power (battery) and see if it turns on. If it does not, unfortunately you will need another condenser fan. If it does run, there's a short circuit somewhere. Also, check if there is a relay for the condenser fan and test that if you find one.

 

You need to get one of these.

yeah, the fan is still good, its just not getting any power some reason.. and the compressor is not clickin when it comes on, and as far as the relay, i switched it with another that I know works, that didnt fix it... Ive haven't seen anything like this.. i dont know how it could have just shorted somewhere, never wrecked and serviced only at acura.. weirrrrd

did you try jumpin the 1 and 2 slots that the relay plugs into to see if the fan comes on?

 

actually I didn't do that, but I did sawp it out with the cooling fan relay that is exactly the same and does work, and it did'nt help surprizingly.

 

well testing the way i said will find out if the power coming in and going out are there for the fan. simply swaping a relay wouldnt tell you that. it could also be that teh ac system lost enough charge, and when that happens the compressor wont run nor will the condensor fan. you may want to have teh ac system checked out by some one who has the equipement to test
