My 03 Tl type s is giving this strange odor (almost like dirty feet) from the ac vents when I turn it on, I have changed the cabin filter and the problem still persist, does anyone have any idea on what else I can do or check or get rid of this odor.

They make a spray for the condenser to clean it and remove the odor and molds. Many parts stores carry it. I would try that.

could be that, or mold in the plastic tubes that run air to vents

After cking blower motor and replace the cabin filters, try another can of the cleaner

recirc mode shuts off fresh the air inlets, so you are running the same air over and over again

TIP: shut ac off and leave fan on high a few minutes before engine shutdown- the last few blocks driving,,, so air is moving thru the vent sytem
That will dry out moisture that builds up with constant AC On use and recirc mode

89148= you do know we have a pair of cabin filters right? (comes 2 in the box)
see DIY section for help- its easy and 20 bucks will change your life!
types with antibacterial or antimicrobial spray applied are better at fighting germs
charcoal added units help if you drive thru smelly areas, it absorbs bad odors

Of course. Do you even have to ask? Just check it in the DIY list.

Just pull out your blower motor from the bottom using a 7 or 8mm socket and there it is.

maybe your 99 diva--do 99s even have cabin filter?
everyone else has to remove the glovebox

diy master list, save to your Favorites!!
https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/new-official-2nd-gen-tl-diy-thread-706083/

note: use kitchen scissors or wire cutters to cut the tabs holding panel in, then bend back and forth to snap off- its made to do that, panel goes back in sideways--see diy

Use something on ground to protect your knees- will be on them 15+ minutes if first time the job is being done
next time is faster as panel has 1 screw instead of cutting etc an dyou know the shortcuts, work without fear~

Its much easier than the diy makes it seem,,detailed instuctions are meant to help

tip to all- on the rear of the driver center armrest, there is a vent
leave that OPEN at all times,
cold air builds up inside tube and cant get out = moisture buildup = mold

same happens with heat, except it puts the hurt on your CD collection in armrest
