A/c Blew Up...please Help
One day I was running my A/C and I noticed a slight burning smell. Thought it may have been coming from outside the car so I didn't think too much of it.
Next day I was on the freeway, running the A/C, and a large puff of smoke came out of the vents. Totally freaked me out. After that, the fan stopped working. The A/C will still get cold, except that the fan doesn't work.
Can anyone help me figure out what part I need. I seriously do not want to take it somewhere and get ripped off. I would like to know what needs to be done so I could shop around for parts and labor.
Anyone have any feedback? I really would appreciate some help.

either the connector at the blower motor or the resistor on back of the blower motor are likely suspects
See DIY on Cabin Air Filter, you remove a couple of screws and clips to get the cover and glovebox box out
then the cabin filters pull out on a tray- to their right- is the blower motor
couple more bolts and its out
