bypass valve actuator problem
bypass valve actuator problem
I have a 2002 tl-p with a type s swap. I just replaced my bypass valve actuator today becuase the last one did not work and now the new one does not work either. What could be the problem.

The bypass valve control unit might be bad. Will run you ~ $100 from the dealer.

Yes the actuator is hooked up to the butterfly on the manifold and the actuator is pluged in to the wire harness. This is all that I have done to get the butterfly to open. I think I am missing a component like the control module or fuse box from type s. So can you tell me what exactly I would have to do to get the actuator to work?

There is a spot on teh B pillar for it by the fuse panel. If you swapped over all the harnesses you will see what it plugs into. I think(if i remember correctly) its the drivers side engine to dash harness
I did not switch over all harnesses just the engine harness. Can I just rig up a rpm switch to open it. If It is possible do you know what rpm the actuater opens and closes at? thanks
