Brakes on a 2nd gen

Hey guys, changed my front brakes....pads,rotors and calipers. However, now I have a severe grinding/grabbing whenever I brake. I can take my foot off the brake and the car rolls freely, so definitely not stuck on. Now when I go to brake from a slow roll, a grinding/grabbing noise can be heard and felt. Any ideas as to why?
Thanks

did you bed the brakes post-installation? Did you clean the caliper bolts/re-greased?

All of the above were done. All items were brand new, inspected and properly greased

Take it apart and inspect for debris in any of the linings.

All I could recommend is to go back, check to make sure all was installed properly though I can't imagine where you could go wrong with replacing some parts that can only go on a certain way. a few random questions:
  • Did you clean and grease your caliper pins?
  • Did you put the new pads on correctly? (referring to noise maker position mainly)
  • Did you clean debris from the dust shield prior to installing the new rotors?
  • Did you ensure rotor was not rubbing the dust shield before re-installing the caliper?
  • How are your wheel bearings? no movement?
  • Slotted rotors?

Take apart and double check everything. Maybe some brake hardware got misplaced and it's contacting the rotor, or something is in between the pad and the rotor, etc.

White tiger, yes they are slotted. Everything was taken apart and yet still the same issue. Pins were properly greased, and no debris whatsoever. As far as the brake shield, it was previously removed. My wheel bearing does need changing, however do you think that could be the cause of the grabbing/grinding feeling I'm getting?

However, this "noise maker" I'm assuming you're referring to the clip on the actual pad? If so, yes it was in the same position as the last pad.

Everything seems to be in place , and considering everything is brand new and inspected before installation, I dont see what else I couldve overlooked. Has anyone else experience any issues with slotted rotors as well? Should they really grab that hard to the point where you come to a grinding halt? Something still feels off to me, even without it being bedded it shouldnt have that result....any thoughts?

I had a similar issue with my 01. Turned out to be the calipers starting to give out. Not sure if you stated that the calipers were new, but the pistons on the OEM start to fail after 100k. Both of mine over-reached and extended past their housings
