BRAKE light on when its cold?

BRAKE light on when its cold?

everytime i start my car in the morning and its been a cold night and morning, my brake light sensor in the dash goes on and stays on. it goes off when i start my car back up again later. anybody have this same problem?

check bulbs..

and check brake fluid level..

My levels are good and I still get that light when cold (winter)

common.. me and my relative both have this on our TL's.. not the fluid... just a little glitch... only happens when its cold.. after car is warm or temp. outside it stops..

if all have been checked and good, then the reservoir cap is the issue. It is a known issue with the brake reservoir cap with the float.

Take out the float and wipe it off and reinsert. Probably need to get the brake fluid service done. Mines did that but went away for a bit when i wiped off the float filter thing.

I wsa getting this off and on a couple weeks ago. Thought it was the brake fluid level, but it was fine.

BUT, I did notice that the last time the Brake Fluid cap was put on, it was oreinted so that the wires for the fluid sensor were stretched/twisted toward the front. I re-did the cap so the wires were on the back side, closer/direct to the connection. Problem solved.

WOW!! i have been having this same problem ever since winter started and it's been driving me nuts.. people say its the fluid but my fluid level is fine.. glad i'm not the only one
