"brake" light stays on

the brake light in the cluster (the one that goes on when you apply the e brake) comes on at random times while the e brake is fully released (not applied). Ive had the same problem on my previous car and it was that the brake fluid was low so i filled it and the light never came back on. Now in my TL i also checked my brake fluid when i saw the light on but the brake fluid is at the max and the light continues to come on and go off randomly every few days. any thoughts on what could be the cause? 2002 tl-s 64k

Check the float sensor. Make sure it moves freely. Sometimes they get sticky and don't float properly.

Yea, it's under the cap. It's like a white foam piece.
