Hello all. I just put in 02-03 tail lights on my 00 tl, all my brake lights work, as do my tail lights, all four of them work well. The only problem is that sometimes when im driving, my brake light indicator light will appear on my dash until i get to were im going, then i shut the car off, turn it back on and its off, or sometimes it stays on for ahwile then just goes off. I know It comes on beacuse the brake light part of my right tail light inside bulb goes out, i tried playing with it many times, but its not good. Do you guys think that maybe i pinched a wire somewere when i put everything back into the tail lights that is making this happean, or you guys think its the whole sensor unit in my left brake lamp. Please help, its really annoying.

It appears as though you have a poor contact somewhere in the right tail lamp assembly. Have you tried a "new" bulb yet ? Also check the receptical for the bulb for any apparent damage or corrosion. Swap the bulb in question with the other side, then you'll know if it's the bulb. Look at any wiring or ground that might've been disturbed while replacing the assembly. Don't forget that the high mount brake lamp is part of the dash's warning lamp circuit. I had the indicator lamp come on once when my high mount had a bulb die. As 01tl4tl mentioned, there are two separate dash "brake" warning indicators. It may be worth checking your brake fluid reservoirs's level and the e-brake.
