TL = Tranny Lubrication
could also be a issue with the sensor - gets moist (wet) and the damn thing comes on and goes away after a few mins. If you had new pads and rotors installed recently then you could have low brake fluid - tends to happen when bleeding the lines. As you have a 2000TL I would suggest flushing your brake lines (if you haven't replaced your brake fluid) recommended at 60,000 miles (it doesn't hurt).

When new pads and rotors are installed the brake lines have to be bled to get the air out. They typically don't have to fill up your brake fluid every time your brakes are changed. For example, I didn't have to fill up my brake fluid when I did my brakes over a year ago, I did loose a bunch of fluid on the floor when I was bleeding the lines though. I checked the fluid after I did all four brakes and it was still above the "low oil" line so I didn't have to add anything even though there was some fluid lost..
having said that..
Maybe when your brakes were done they didn't check to see if they had to add more fluid..... possibly they assumed you were fine, without checking.
Check your brake fluid resivour, see if the lid is on tight enough (if it's not on it will cause your problem lights to come on) and see if there is enough fluid.
