Brake!!!!
It's very possible. Old pads with nothing left on them draws the fluid low and trigger the float sensor.
Tire life, you can check how much tread you have left on your own.

Release my brake.... the brake pedal, or the emergency brake? If emerg. brake check the switch, maybe it just needs to be adjusted. Otherwise check fluid level but don't overfill.
Disconnect
Pull it out
Adjust
Replace
The part is about 8-10 bucks at your nearest honda dealer if you need to replace it.

Brake light switch on the brake pedal has an adjusment (screw it up or down) and yours appears to be activating with no/less than the minimum pedal engagement.

I believe he meant the "brake" light, not brake "lamp". If the brake light is on intermittently, either add some brake fluid or replace the cap if it was bad, or your brake pads need replacement.
It seems to be about warming up, but believe it or not, once your engine compartment warmed up, fluid somewhat expands and raises the float of the cap or movement of the engine or the car forcing the float to rise.

the brake light! the one on your left foot! i got new brakes and tires and it fixed everything! i think the pads has somethign to deal with it cause it was almost gone. so just to let you guys know! the dealership i went to get my oil change help me changed and refill all my oil and fuilds but that didn't help. after my brakes and tires were done at my friend's shop and costco ( dude 4 tires from top of the line costed almost 900!!) and it was done! thansk guys!

Are you saying that when you push on the brake pedal your "BRAKE LIGHTS" dont come on? or are intermittent? If so then pmptx was correct and its your Brake switch (it attaches to your brake pedal)
Brake pads have NOTHING to do with it. Our cars DONT have brake pad sensors and changing them wouldnt have fixed it.
^ thats not true because if u let the pads get low in the front and rear the brake light will come on indicating your fluid is low due to the low pads. which is why at oil change services the brake fluid is never topped off. the brake system is sealed and the only time your fluid is low is when your pads are low or when you have a leak, both cases must be dealt with as soon as possible.
That's what I've experienced also juanclopez- Low fluid level CAN result from the pads wearing down, if the resv. isn't topped off.
What doesn't make sense is that he stated "the dealership i went to get my oil change help me changed and refill all my oil and fuilds " so they should have added brake fluid if low. That was done before the brake/tire work.....

I believe he meant the 'brake' light that when you step on the left parking brake, it turns on on the dash.
Note: don't top off too much of fluid in your reservoir. I use its level to determine my brake pads; also if you top of the reservoir and when decompressing the calipers for new pads you would flood the reservoir.

With the change to colder weather my "brake" dash light has been staying on. On my way to work it goes off. I assumed it was because the car had warmed up and the brake fluid had expanded. Guess I need to check my brake pads. Thanks for the information.
