Blower Motor Help!

Hello, I have a 2000 Acura 3.2TL. The heat and air have stopped working and I found the issue to be the Blower Motor itself, and the Blue/Yellow Subwire that connects to the blower motor and resistor are fried. I have both replacement parts, I managed to get the blue half of the subwire popped out of the resistor but I cannot get the yellow half of the wire to pop out of the Brown Terminal Box. Is there a certain trick to this or will I have to cut the wire out? Hope someone can help, very chilly car rides at the moment.

Cheers, Vonn

I had to cut and splice the new wire in. Apparently others have not.

Welcome Pota66 !!!
Blower motor wiring harness issues are a common problem with our TL's.
Check out the 2nd Gen's "DIY" sticky and other related threads on the subject.

Did you follow Acura Service Bulletin 06-006? That's all I did.

Those service bulletins are a good source of info.
But, IMO...Acura should have formally recalled the problem as a potential risk of fire.

Thanks for the help folks. With much strain I was defeated by the notorious pigtail wire. Alas, I had to take her in and have my guys work on it and they miraculously didn't have to splice the wire but popped it out of the brown terminal and now the heat flows!
