battery dying..tail lights wont go off! please help

battery dying..tail lights wont go off! please help

hi everyone as the title say i got this stupid problem out of no where today at work ..try to start my car and no lights nothing and car is like dead...cant even open the trunk to get my cables out to give jump start....(Pain in the A**) anyways so i noticed after the car is off and locked and lights are switches off my tail lights wont go off.... also the spoiler light is on too ...its like sumone got a foot on the brakes..? so i unpluged my battery till tomorrow so it wont drain my batter...any idea whats going on ....anyone can help?

i would have to suggest checking the adjustment on the brake light switch at the brake petal (*sp?). guess the easiest way to check this would be to see if you can move the shifter out of park without applying the brakes. if shifter moves, its out of adjustment as the car thinks the brake are applied.

It could also be that you just have a bad brake light switch.

Brake switch is either faulty or ill adjusted. Is your brake pedal sagging?

Oh and if you reach thru the trunk pass thru and up there is a trunk release cable you can pull to open the trunk when the battery is dead

Thanks guys i tool it to my mechanic and there was a lil tiny problem with my brake paddle..all he did took a piece of rubber stopper glued it and it was fine..total 2 minutes of work thats all ...
