Base tl freeway cruising rpms?????
When I'm on the freeway and cruising around 70 to 80 mph..my rpms are at or above 2000..is this normal or should the rpms be lower then that?? Just wondering..

Yeah at freeway speeds of 70 - 80 mph, it should be between 2000 and 2250. 4 cylinders tend to have higher freeway RPM's at 2500 - 3000. Most V6 and V8 cars should be around 2000. Diesel vehicles have low RPM's around 1750.

Well sort of; your statement is true if those cars have automatic transmissions; for cars with manual transmissions the RPMs are typically a few hundred RPMs higher when tooling along in the seventy to eighty mile per hour range.
