axle removal question!!

so i ran into the problem while replacing all of my struts and springs that the bolt at the bottom of the suspension fork was stuck into the LCA...so i got around it without having to replace it! after i bought LCA and the fork and new bolt! but from what i hear the LCA is a bitch to replace... so now my problem is that i need to replace the axle on that side!!!! can i slide it out without removing the fork or does that have to be done no matter what!

what are the steps to doing the axle i dont plan on doing any ball joint because i already replaced them.. and every diy i see they say something about replacing a BJ can i just disconect the upper control arm and the axle bolt and tie rod to spindle and get it out with enough room???

thanks ahead of time!
