Axel Shudder?

After a costly few months (timing belt, tranny rebuilt, new brakes, new ties..) I recently had to replace my driverside axel.

I didn't get a OEM replacement, or remanufacture my original one, instead went with a aftermarket one. I since then noticed that I get a bit of a shudder (nothing too violent) when I'm around 2nd going 20 - 30km/h.. but other than that it drives fine and even at high speeds is fine as well, no shakes, shudder, etc.

This is my 2nd replacement under warranty, because when I first had it installed on Saturday I noticed it so they swaped it out but still is the same problem. Mech didn't notice anything else and suggest that it might be the fact that it's just a 3rd party replacement.

Any suggestions on what it might be? Braking has no issues, no noises or such..just a minor shudder during 20 - 30km/h..

Thanks

Id have it replaced again. If it still happens odds are its not the axle that is the issue. When were the last time your mounts were replaced?

Has been replaced twice already, third time's a charm perhaps?

Mounts have been replaced quite recently (during my tranny rebuild). What are you possibly thinking if it's not the axle? Just trying to get some ideas..

Either that isnt the axle that is bad, and possibly the other one is, a balljoint/tierod end or lastly the trans could all be causing it.

Well, after further talking with my mechanic, he thinks that it's the cheaper quality axle that is causing the issue. I asked him about the joints, if it was the passanger side, etc.. says everything is as it should be.

Suggested a few options:

1.
Keep it as is if I can deal with the slight shudder, maybe break it in a bit more to see if it goes

2.
Buy another aftermarket axle from CarDome (I think that's the brand, anyone have opinions on this?)

3.
Buy a OEM from the wreckers and see how that goes

I don't really want to fork out for a new OEM part or have mine sent out to be reman. Your thoughts?

If its a warrantied part which I'm sure it is, have your mechanic replace it again. I had my passenger axle replaced and I have lifetime warranty on the axle and labor as long as i own the car.

I said it a million times before
NAPA auto parts stores have a NEW cv axle unit for under 100 bucks
not used, not within useable specs, NEW

quit using the same maker when there may be an issue--duuuuuuh
a prob may run in its assembly line a long time

Vibrations never get better!! only cause other parts to sustain damage!!

have your tech get a good unit from NAPA and be done with it
