I have an 01, 96K miles, runs perfect, I dont really have any transmission problems, but i know our TLs are prone to transmission problems, and trying to see for the future. If you had it replaced on your car, how much did you pay, im just trying to get a general idea of the cost. thanks!

 

its a really bad plan to come here and announce how well trans is doing...
but want info on its replacement---
you are aware of the azine trans curse?

at local shops-1600-2500 for rebuilding your unit
at dealer 4 grand for different trans installed in your car

do you have the 2nd gear external oil kit installed?--the only recall on the trans

 

I know how he feels- just trying to be prepared-

 

I encourage all owners to ck if they ever got the recall done for the trans oil jet kit
If not, and certain heat damage is found--acura makes it a warranty trans exchange/replacement

acura usa 1 800 382 2238 x5,,call (with VIN) and ck if all recalls are complete--the new one on airbag inflator has low response rate

they dont dig around inside the trans -ever
